About 2227
We are Team 2227, a FIRST Robotics team from Fridley High School, in Fridley, MN! We were founded during the 2006-07 school year, making this 2027 FRC season our 20th year competing! Team 2227 is made of many creative, hardworking students and dedicated mentors. We are always welcoming new members whether they have experience or not! Team 2227 enjoys working together to create fun, innovation, and ambitious goals to work towards!
Robotics is held after school every Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m,. and most Saturdays from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. during the off-season. The build season finds us meeting every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., and every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
We don’t only build a robot to compete in FIRST Robotics competitions, but to foster leadership, teamwork, business, communication, design, public speaking, programming, industrial safety and other technical skills. We dedicate every meeting to building these skills, and will even work on them through the summer!
We hope to help teach each member new skills, and are excited to see these skills demonstrated throughout the season! Team 2227 would love for you to follow along this season and watch us grow as a team and as individuals this year! We are filled with excitement for this new season and can’t wait for our build to come to life!
